The 100% Comfort and durability of Steel Blue boots is also attributed to the high-quality upper materials used in the manufacture of our footwear. The premium materials allow our boots to be worn in industrial situations for long periods of time, including 10 to 12 hour shifts.
We source a range of soft, durable, supple high-quality waterproof leathers from New Zealand that conform to the shape of the foot quickly. This high-quality leather provides better fitting footwear and normally does not require “breaking in”.

In addition, all Steel Blue styles have internal upper linings that are made from a variety of high quality materials that quickly wisk perspiration away from the foot, leaving the skin cool and dry.  Materials selected are soft and smooth to protect the skin from chaffing and blistering.

Even more, some Steel Blue styles are stitched with Kevlar® aramid fibre thread which is five times stronger than steel (weight for weight). Kevlar is able to tolerate high temperatures, such as sparks from welding.
